Wetaca Achieves €16 Million of Income During 2023

Wetaca, the Spanish weekly-meal subscription service, has dished out its annual report card and the results are nothing short of a culinary triumph.

In what can only be described as a gastronomic rollercoaster, Wetaca not only doubled its weekly orders from 7,000 to 10,000 in just a few spins of the calendar but also solidified its reign as the go-to provider of weekly meal containers.

According to Efrén Álvarez, the co-founder and co-CEO of Wetaca, their “tuppers subscription model” has become a hit. The kitchen crew now crafts over 65,000 meals weekly, a feat made possible by their obsession with innovation, a keen eye for top-notch suppliers, and a bit of kitchen gadgetry.

The financial pot is also simmering nicely for Wetaca, with a 70% revenue growth over two years, hitting the €16 million mark in 2023. Despite market challenges, Wetaca remains a profitable contender, establishing itself as Spain's premier choice for precooked meals.

With a team that's grown to 92 people, Wetaca has its eyes set on expanding to 110 by year-end. As they prepare for a future that looks promising, Andrés Casal, the co-founder and co-CEO, notes: "At Wetaca, we will continue to be committed to our mission, which is to improve people's nutrition, helping them eat delicious, healthy, and varied meals in the most convenient way possible”.
